ES duplex pentouse

The duplex apartment underwent a complete renovation, including reorganizing the two floors and renewing all infrastructure. The new owner wanted to open a new chapter in her life after her grown children moved out. She was looking for a spacious, urban apartment where she could relax and feel comfortable hosting friends and family.
The minimalistic design aesthetic includes classic materials such as white oak veneer, stainless steel, and natural aluminum. The selected gradients are all sand tones, contributing to a relaxing and holistic atmosphere that connects all the apartment elements.
The entrance floor hosts all the public functions and was cleared of internal walls. The space division is achieved by placing a wooden box that functions as a pantry on the inside and as a bar on the outside. Its third function is a kitchen façade, making it the primary space generator on this floor.
The original thick windows and shutter system have been replaced with minimal frames and delicate venetian blinds, softening the apartment’s openings and opening its views to the urban environment while providing an acoustic barrier.
The second floor contains all the private functions: the master bedroom, family room, and guest room. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with a built-in sitting area facing the sea. The bathroom’s floor, walls, and ceiling are all cast in a sand shade for a minimal, natural feel. The guest bathroom maintains the clean and minimal use of materials with a floor-to-ceiling window that provides light and natural ventilation.
